Why Graduate Planning
Graduate Planning is a new business, and as far as we can tell, the only one of its kind. Our team consists of students and recent graduates; nobody knows student finances better than we do! We help most students by:
Applying for grants, scholarships, and bursaries
Most people only apply for grants a few times in their life. We apply for grants a few times a day. After filling out hundreds of applications, we know exactly how to maximize your chances of earning funding.
Student-focused financial planning
Finances are important, but they shouldn’t be your entire life. We understand that students don’t have the time to micro-manage an investment portfolio when studying for midterms.
We help you identify financial red flags and help you manage the most time-consuming aspects of your finances.
Who we help
We work with students from the UofA and MacEwan. We can work with students anywhere in Canada, but because we are Edmonton based, these are the schools we know best!
More specifically, we find the students that we provide the most value to often fall into one or more of these categories:
Are in their first, or final year of university
Have high costs
Have rotations/internships/co-ops
Have never applied for grants before
Or are not taking student loans
We commonly make students in any of these categories over $4,000 in grants. Reach out to see how we can help!
Why we started
Graduate Planning was created because we realized that there was no way for students to get financial help from someone who:
Genuinely understood student finances and
Offered advice in a student’s best interest
Everybody who works for Graduate Planning is either a student or recent grad, and we are a fee-only firm which allows us to focus on offering advice over selling products.
